First Service Bank Promotes Mark Smith to Government Guaranteed Loan Assistant

First Service Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Smith to the position of government guaranteed loan assistant. Mark, a dedicated First Service Bank team member for more than a year, has previously served as a Universal Banker. In his new role, Mark will work closely with loan officers to ensure that customers receive the timely and personalized service they deserve while also collaborating with other entities to streamline the loan process.

Mark is a native of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, and attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He is excited to bring his personable approach to this new role. "I love being personable with my customers, and I will continue to do that in this new role," Mark said. "This position gives me a better understanding of what my community needs, and it will put me in a better position to provide that for my community."

Mark’s favorite aspect of working at First Service Bank is the strong sense of family and support he has found among his colleagues. "I have had several jobs in my past, but working here this last year, I realize I’m not alone—I have a family! People here want to see me succeed. For that, I am very grateful and look forward to providing all I can to our customers and my new family members in this role," Mark shared.

In his new role, Mark will continue to build relationships with customers, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout the loan process. He is passionate about positively impacting his community, noting the difference First Service Bank has made in his life and the lives of others. "Growing up, banks were never a fun place to go. It was always in and out, with no smiles, no sense of love or respect for the people those banks served. This family, however, is truly different in that aspect. I’m so honored to be a part of that. I want to shine for my community, hopefully brighten their day, and most importantly, make those people feel like family. FSB is truly about the community, people, and families."

Julie Chambers, CFO and SVP of Government Guaranteed Lending, expressed her confidence in Mark’s abilities and the positive impact he will have in his new role. "Mark has shown tremendous dedication and passion for his work during his time with us. His commitment to providing exceptional customer service and genuine care for our community make him an ideal fit for this role. We are excited to see how he will continue to grow and contribute to the success of First Service Bank in this new capacity," Chambers said.
