The inaugural Operation Red, White and Brave Golf Tournament raised more than $60,000, which will be used to assist veterans, the military and their loved ones.
“The ORWB Golf tournament was an overwhelming success thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors and the support of our community,” said Rebecca Barnard, board chairman of the ORWB Foundation. “This remarkable achievement will help us in our mission of supporting veterans, those serving and their families in times of need. All contributions make a meaningful difference in their lives.”
The golf tournament was held on September 11 at the Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle.
“We couldn't have asked for better weather or a more beautiful day to come together and honor our veterans,” said Rebecca. “On this special day, we also remembered and paid tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001.”
First Service Bank created ORWB in 2019 to support the bank’s vision as well as one of its core values – patriotism. In August 2022, First Service Bank announced it was expanding ORWB to help more vets, active military and their families. First Service Bank matches ORWB contributions dollar for dollar.
“Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and supported our event. Your generosity and enthusiasm made this day truly remarkable,” said Rebecca. “Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming events and initiatives. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of our veterans and others as we keep the spirit of remembrance alive.”
The ORWB Foundation has an online nomination form to collect requests to help individuals who have a special need or wish requiring financial or physical assistance.
