Joining First Service a ‘no brainer”

Joining First Service a ‘no brainer”

For Morgan Taylor, it was the culture and the institution’s bright future that drew him to First Service Bank.

Morgan was recently named a business development officer for the bank’s Little Rock location. “I am excited about working with great customers and a great team. I hope to learn something new each day and be a contributing factor to the growth of the bank.”

In his new position, Morgan will identify opportunities for growth in the market, with a primary focus on deposit relationships. “I will take an active role in the community, through charity participation and outreach to potential customers,” he said. “I will also work with current customers to ensure we are doing everything we can to help meet their banking needs while building relationships to attract others to do business with First Service Bank.”

Morgan, who previously was a vice president/retail area manager for another bank, has about 10 years of experience in the financial industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas.

“My mother was a CPA and worked in different financial institutions in Little Rock. I always had a fondness for her work and wanted to do something similar,” he said. “I worked part time in banking while attending college as a great way to benefit my future after graduating. I wouldn’t have imagined I’d still be in banking all these years later, but I’m excited each day to help customers with their needs. Helping people always makes a good day, great. My satisfaction comes from growth and learning, and there isn’t a day that I don’t learn something.”

Born in Little Rock, Morgan lives in Sherwood with his wife, Rachel, and their two sons. They attend First NLR. “Most recently, I was a board member on the North Little Rock Young Professionals, which is a subset of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce,” Morgan said. “I look forward to getting involved in multiple ways with the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club of America.”

Several factors went in to Morgan’s decision to join First Service, including the organization’s work environment. “Ultimately, it was how well First Service Bank is regarded from people within the company,” he said. “The culture and future outlook made it seem like a no brainer to join the family at First Service Bank.”

First Service Bank, with its headquarters in Faulkner County, has been in operation for more than 60 years and has locations in Clinton, Conway, Dermott, Flippin, Greenbrier, Little Rock, Mountain View, Shirley and Yellville. For more information, visit firstservicebank.com.
